People are often shocked about just how many pieces it takes to complete all the wonderful layers for a beautifully finished design.

But what can look like just acquiring stuff for the sake of stuff is not at all what we do for our clients.
With every design we complete, we try to be as purposeful as possible - ensuring that our clients' need for function and comfort are met and exceeded, and of course, the beautiful vision that they shared with us is more than realized.
So how do we ensure that it's not just a bunch of stuff?
It starts by having deep conversations about their story, their vision, how they desire to use the space, what hobbies they have, what lifestyle preferences they have, how they want to feel in the space, what they consider luxury, what makes their hearts sing.
Once we get a good understanding of the client's story and what's important to them, we set to work creating the plan.
The plan involves a thorough assessment of the space and what it needs for optimal comfort, balance and harmony.
Then we begin the process of curating the perfect furnishings to answer the need of the client and the space.
We work with a network of amazing resources, artisans, partners and collaborators that provide exemplary options - many of which are highly customizable and unique.
We don't just pick furnishings - we design and curate and are very selective about the resources we use.
We use what clients already own as much as possible
Another way that we ensure that we are not just loading up stuff in a client's home with no real purpose is by starting with items they already own. Sometimes we can even see potential in pieces they did not think could work.
Telling a story with the design itself is very important to us, and the things that clients have amassed over time can be an important part of that equation.
We incorporate vintage wherever possible
Vintage pieces always bring some depth and a grounding presence in a room.
Not only is it a great way to recycle and give life to older pieces, buying vintage gives a bit of soul to each space that incorporates at least one piece.
Even better if it is a piece that has been in your family for a while. They often become conversation pieces and add interest and definitely intentionality.

We stay away from throw away furniture
Throw-away furniture is a term used for cheaply made furniture that have a very short life expectancy.
Furniture manufacturer's make throw-away furniture to make available to a large segment of people. Think Temu!
People should buy what they can afford, but the issue with throw away furniture is that they are often sold as quality furniture.
We stay away from mass-produced low-quality pieces, that are just meant to be fillers in a space.
We focus on the feels
Our clients stories matter. And that is one of the things we first seek to uncover in the initial meetings, as we mentioned above.
They way clients want to feel in their homes is a great direction for us as we curate all the furnishings that make up the design.
Some may want to feel excitement, or serenity, or passion, or creative - or whatever it is, we make sure the design serves that purpose and more.
We are forward-thinking
We don't just focus on how our clients live today, but we anticipate their needs for the future.
We seek to understand their aspirations and goals, and together with our expertise in weighing and understanding trends, we design for the future as well as for now.
This is especially important for clients who are remodeling or building a new home.
We try to foresee their needs well into the future.
Another aspect of being forward-thinking when it comes to designing for our clients is understanding how trends evolve and having a good sense of the history of furniture, shapes, styles, colors, silhouettes and how they were used in past eras.
We design for lifestyles

We want to make sure that our clients enjoy the homes that we create for them. Every space we create should support their lifestyle - whatever it is.
This is where our favorite phrase "your version of luxury" comes in.
We are redefining what luxury means - and it is not about how much you spend, or what brands you use - luxury is about how the space embraces you, how it supports the activities, hobbies and lifestyle you lead, how happy and excited you are to come home, how easy it is to maintain, how at home your guests feel, how comfortable and supported by their environment your kids are, how romantic your master suite is.
It is all about YOU!
We design for personalities
We know that several different personalities can live in one home. Even where there are just two people involved in decision-making for the space, we know we have to address the needs, desires and personalities of all parties.
Everyone should feel that the space supports them.
This is our super power. We can take everyone's vision and create one cohesive design, where everyone feels like they got exactly what they wanted
In a lot of cases, people are more alike than they realize - they may just express their needs and desires differently.

Wishing You Boldness & Great Style!
