Restoring An Iconic Show Low Landmark: Our Very First Design Project In Northern Arizona
Every new chapter in design comes with its own sense of anticipation, but taking on our very first project here in Show Low, Arizona felt like a true homecoming.
When the opportunity arose to collaborate on the renovation of the Victorian mansion at 1500 W. Deuce of Clubs, we knew it was a landmark moment. Set right in the heart of town, this building is instantly recognized by locals and visitors alike. It served as the perfect introduction to working in the area, and it is a project that we are very proud of.
Honoring History Through Thoughtful Design Decisions
Working on a building with such deep local roots requires a delicate balance: honoring the historic essence of the architecture while creating a fresh, beautifully refined interior experience.
The owners were wonderfully hands-on throughout the entire process, caring deeply about every detail of their property. Yet, they placed immense trust in our firm to make some of the most critical aesthetic decisions for the space, entrusting us with curated selections for:
Custom Paint Palettes: Defining interior and exterior paint tones that celebrate the original Victorian architecture.
Statement Lighting: Selecting fixtures that enhance the building's historic character while casting the space in a warm, welcoming light.
Elevated Flooring: Choosing durable, timeless flooring materials that withstand modern traffic while blending effortlessly with the historic aesthetic.
Wallcoverings: Incorporating rich wall treatments to add texture, warmth, and depth to key spaces.
A Portfolio Milestone with a Lasting Impact
While our role in this renovation was smaller in physical scope than some of our full-scale residential builds, its impact on our firm’s journey in Northern Arizona is immeasurable. Being trusted with a building that holds so much local prominence proved that great design isn't about square footage, it's about story, detail, and craftsmanship.
As we continue expanding our footprint and taking on full-scale interior design, remodeling, and turnkey home projects throughout Show Low and the White Mountains, this Victorian mansion stands as a proud testament to our approach to design.
