At Veronica Solomon Interior Design, we love using wallpaper! It’s a common question we get on social media, so I decided to share some of my all-time favorites. I’ve included links for you to access and purchase them if you like.
The Power of Wallpaper
I adore bold patterns when it comes to wallpaper. The drama they bring to a space is unmatched. The beautiful texture of natural grasscloth wallpaper also captivates me. It’s wonderful to see more homeowners embracing bold patterns and rich textures these days.
One of my favorites is the Japanese Cranes wallpaper by Milton and King. It makes a dramatic statement in my personal laundry room.

While we’re on the subject of crane wallpaper, I absolutely love this gorgeous option from an Etsy maker!

Floral Elegance
How about this bold yet moody floral from Ellie Cashman?

Not quite the same, but I love this one from an Etsy store as well.

The iconic Cole & Son Woods wallpaper is another favorite of mine.

I actually have five of the 11-yard rolls of this available for sale. You can find them linked HERE. I purchased them for a client who later changed her mind.
Japanese Garden Mural
I am in love with this Japanese garden mural wallpaper, also from Etsy.

Our most famous design project features this gorgeous mural from Mural Sources.

Vintage Landscapes
The Vintage landscape by Belarte Studio is another stunning choice.

I found this on Etsy, and it’s very similar to one I used in a powder room a few years back.

I love a double dose of wallpaper in a room! This Katy, TX dining room we completed a few years back is still a showstopper. The floral grasscloth on the ceiling by Phillip Jeffries and the banana bark walls from Thibaut Design create a stunning effect.

Timeless Favorites
Cole and Son Nouvette is one paper I have always wanted to use but haven’t yet. It remains one of my favorites and is available in several colorways.

Another favorite is the Schumacher Queen of Spain, which is also available in a few colorways and textiles.

If you're as bold in your choices as my clients here were, this Jungle-themed wallpaper from Milton & King would be a perfect option for a kid's bedroom or play area.

Chinoiserie Charm
Chinoiserie will always be a favorite design motif for me. I especially love how Rebel Walls interpreted it in these bold colors, adding a modern flair to a timeless motif.

You can find all the colorways HERE, including my favorite - fuchsia.
I wish I could take credit for this next one, but my client introduced me to it. It’s called Houston Toile by Katie Kime. If you look closely, you’ll see special Houston landmarks from Allen Parkway to Westheimer Road.

Houston Toile is also available in several colorways and can be printed on other product types. I love how the classic Toile motif has been modernized in this application.
Modern Motifs
I adore this Greco Garden paper by Katie Kime, which reminds me of a Cole & Son Miami wallpaper.

Here’s one from Fabricut that you have to see in person to believe how gorgeous it is.

If you love a conversation starter in a room, this Porter Teleo Ink Blot paper is for you!
Porter Teleo generously provided us this paper for our bedroom space in the Flower Magazine 2023 Showhouse in Baton Rouge.

Animal Magnetism
If you know me and my design work, you know how much I love cheetahs—the animal and the motif. I often use them to bring together patterns and textures in a room.
I love this one from Katie Kime, available in three colorways.

I’ve been dying to use this paper in my laundry room—Corvus Beetle by Painted Paper.

I don’t know what it is about bugs that I love to design with, but I’m still somewhat afraid of them. Haha! Moving to the country on my homestead means I encounter them more often, so I think I’ve made peace with them.
If you look closely at the office below that we designed for the ASID Showhouse several years back, you’ll see one of my favorite textiles ever with bugs all over. It’s one of many I’ve done over the years.

Eclectic Choices
The Eclectic Landscape by Belarte Studio reminds me of an oil painting, and I just love it!

In the right setting, this faux bois inspired paper—Vibrant Veneer by Belarte Studio—would be amazing!

The Stripe Revival wallpaper by Rebel Walls is a bold option for any space. It’s available in other colorways.

The organic, flowy lines of the Soren Wallpaper by Painted Paper are a perfect choice in this powder room. I could also see it in a study or a dining room.

Even I got in on the wallpaper bandwagon and designed my own on Spoonflower. Here is the Ackee motif. Ackee is the national fruit of Jamaica (my birthplace). This would be perfect for a kitchen or breakfast room.

Here is the Leopard's Lair on gold metallic, designed by me.

I could go on and on with my favorites! If I had my way, wallpaper would be in every room I design. Here is my final pick—an all-time favorite, Aux Abris Garden of Eden. It’s available in several colorways and on various grounds like silk and grasscloth.

Which is your favorite?
Hopefully, you found these selections inspiring!
